Our Privacy Commitment

ARP respects the privacy of our clients, prospective clients, website visitors and other people we deal with.

Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles or other privacy requirements apply to ARP, we will comply with those requirements.

Where a small-business exemption or other exemption means particular provisions do not legally apply, ARP nevertheless aims to handle personal information responsibly and consistently with the principles set out in this Privacy Statement.

·       a builder, architect, engineer or other project consultant where authorised or reasonably required for the project;

ARP does not sell client personal information.

Cloud and Overseas Service Providers

ARP may use reputable technology, cloud storage, communications, accounting or software providers to operate its business. Some providers may store or process information using infrastructure located outside Australia.

Where applicable privacy law requires ARP to take steps in relation to an overseas disclosure, ARP will take reasonable steps to meet those obligations.

Direct Marketing

From time to time ARP may communicate with clients or prospective clients about services we reasonably believe may be relevant to them. Where required by law, we will obtain appropriate consent.

You may ask ARP to stop sending marketing communications at any time by using an unsubscribe facility where provided or by contacting us.

Where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies and a breach is required to be notified, ARP will make the notifications required by law.

Retention of Information

ARP retains business, surveying and personal information for as long as reasonably required for:

·       professional surveying and project records;

·       insurance requirements;

·       accounting and taxation;

·       legal or regulatory obligations; and

·       legitimate business requirements.

Information that is no longer required may be securely deleted or destroyed where appropriate.

You may contact ARP if you would like to request access to personal information we hold about you or believe information we hold is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

We may need to verify your identity before providing access or making changes. There may be circumstances where access is restricted or refused where permitted by law.
